Lorena moved from Spain to London in 2000 and began practicing yoga at Uni soon after. After that she mainly practiced with Sivananda Yoga Vedanta for about 10 years.
Her deep love for yoga came after a long illness “wake up call”. A very slow recovery and a restrictive injury in her left arm made her yoga practice very challenging both physically and mentally. She was very lucky to find an amazing and caring teacher and trained with her for almost two years until she decided to become a yoga teacher herself.
She trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa with Holly Warren & Rahoul Masrani at Yoga London training school. Since the completion of her course she has developed her own style of Vinyasa Flow, combining elements of Ashtanga, Jivamukti and Anusara traditions together with philosophy, meditation and sound healing. Her classes are fun, dynamic and powerful, linking breath with movement, deepening bodily awareness through good alignment and building strength and flexibility resulting in a balanced physical and mental challenge but at the same time well-suited for all abilities.
She has also completed a Jivamukti immersion with Emma Henry & Gabriela Bozic, an Ashtanga workshop with David Swenson, two courses in Aromatherapy and one in Thai Massage and she enjoys bringing it all together for a well-balanced and mindful yoga experience. Awareness of the body, equanimity of the mind and deeper inward reflection are core to her teaching, pursuing her great interest in the restorative and healing aspects of yoga.
